14 students died while taking a selfie

14 students died while trying to take a perfect selfie, the incident taking place in India, a country where young people try their hardest to get the attention of their friends, but unfortunately they end up being seriously injured or dying in accidents that would not have happened under normal conditions.

The 14 students belonged to the Pune high school, they were part of a group of 20 students who thought of venturing into the sea near the Murud beach to take selfies, but this in the conditions in which the sea was agitated and present a huge danger for those who were in it.

Although the authorities had warned people in the area about the high waves that reached the shore due to the rough sea, one of them drowned 14 of the 20 students who were trying to take a selfie that would garner many likes on Facebook.

All the 20 students were pulled into the middle of the sea by the huge wave, but 6 of them were brought to the shore following some rescue operations, but the authorities failed to do the same for the remaining 14 students who lost his life trying to capture the perfect picture.

We reached Murud around 11 am. Although many of my classmates and other students wanted to swim, faculty members suggested doing so after visiting the fort and other tourist spots. We returned to the beach at 2 pm. While we decided to play at the beach, several of my friends ventured into the sea to click pictures and selfies. Around 3.30 pm, huge waves started lashing the beach. It was lunchtime, so all those who wanted to eat, gathered near the bus to collect their tiffin boxes. While those who were playing in the water, continued to do so. Before anyone could realize, a huge wave lashed the shore and pulled our friends deeper into the sea. Several others jumped into the sea to save them. Those who were pulled out were transported to the hospital on handcarts and in horse-carts, as the place lacked vehicles.

In the quote above, you have the testimony of one of the 6 survivors of the accident, stating that the people who were in the water were pulled away from the shore by a large wave, and the rest of the drama is presented above.
