The Samsung Galaxy Note7 has two sensors for ambient light

Samsung Galaxy Note7 it has two sensors for ambient light and could be the first smartphone to benefit from such a change for the way the screen changes its brightness depending on the level of light around the user.

Samsung Galaxy Note7 it has an ordinary ambient light sensor, but in the case there is a second RGB sensor, this one having the role of measuring including the ambient light behind the device, considering that the user can sometimes leave a shadow over the main sensor and the brightness of the screen would could be reduced incorrectly.

For now, no one knows exactly where Samsung has positioned this second sensor for ambient light from Samsung Galaxy Note7, but it could be a combination of the heart rate sensor with the new ambient light sensor, the Koreans avoiding providing clear details for now.

Considering that the Samsung Galaxy Note7 screen can increase its brightness to reach over 1000 nits in conditions where the light around the user is very strong, so the second sensor could adjust the brightness so that people's eyes are not very affected then when it really isn't the case.

Having such a high brightness, the Samsung Galaxy Note7 is also certified to play HDR videos, the very high level of brightness being one of the conditions for its certification, some rumors stating that Apple will allow HDR video recording with its terminals, but the screens they might be unable to reproduce them in their true quality.
