Huawei is far from reaching Apple in smartphone sales

Huawei still lags behind Apple in smartphone sales, the company still announcing an increase compared to previous years, but with profit limits.

Huawei, despite all the information that appeared in the last months, it did not pass Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), in smartphone sales and doesn't seem to be able to do it anytime soon. According to the Chinese company, its smartphone sales were slightly higher than 100 million units in the first three fiscal quarters of 2017, 19% higher than those recorded in the same period of the previous year.

Based on this good increase in sales, the receipts of the Chinese company increased by 30% compared to the same period last year, but there is no talk of profit. A few months ago, the president of the company was complaining about the fact that there is too little profit for the recorded receipts, and this is because they mainly sell very cheap phones, but there is hope that the series Huawei Mate 10 will change that.

Huawei currently has partners who sell its products in 42,300 locations around the world, and this figure is increasing by 19% compared to the same period last year. In order to improve its global image and increase revenues, the company is trying to launch more premium smartphones, from which to make even more profit, but it is unlikely that it will overtake Apple in sales too soon.

Although some recent figures showed that Huawei's June and July sales placed it above Apple, when we talk about total sales, the Chinese still have some catching up to do. It is true that the difference between the two companies is getting smaller and smaller, but 2017 will not be the year in which those from Cupertino will be defeated, and satisfied iPhone 8 si iPhone X we may not see anything different in 2018 from any point of view.

"Huawei said Saturday its mobile phone shipments have exceeded 100 million units, up 19 percent year-on-year, in the first three quarters this year. The growth raised the company's operating revenue by more than 30 percent from January to September."
