The Voyager 2 ship was the only one that came close to the planet Neptune, reaching a distance of 5000 kilometers from its north pole, and all the images that were recorded during its short visit were analyzed for years by researchers.
Planet Neptune it is frozen, completely, even if below the surface there are temperatures closer to those we find on Earth, on the surface they are so small that nothing could survive there. All this information was obtained by the researchers thanks to the Voyager 2 ship, but also to the telescopes on Earth that were directed towards the planet Neptune to gather more data about the cosmic body so far away.
Planet Neptune it is currently the target of some missions that have been proposed, including those from NASA, but it remains to be seen if any of them will materialize, and how long it will take until it is realized.
