Video: HiveDock turns the iPhone into a mini TV

HiveDock is an accessory with which you can turn your iPhone/iPod Touch into a mini TV without much effort. As you can see, this accessory consists of a dock in which you mount the phone, which redirects the sounds emitted by the iDevice's speaker and to which a screen can be mounted that enlarges the images displayed by your terminal. Practically, this dock does not take the images and retransform them, but with the help of a Fresnel lens, which stands parallel to exactly 4 centimeters from the retina screen of the iPhone 4 terminal, it magnifies the images displayed by the device twice.

It is interesting that the sound is amplified without the need to connect the terminal to any special port, but through the simple design of the dock which directs the sound through a concave chamber and then emits it through 2 slots located in the upper/lower part of the dock . This invention will be presented elsewhere than at CES this week. Unfortunately, the images displayed on it look quite blurry, so I don't know how successful it could be. Considering that we are talking about Retina Display, I think that this accessory would only work with iPhone 4/iPod Touch 4G.

  1. why embarrassing it's cheaper than an ipad :)). and you also get a portable sound amplifier for free (and it doesn't even consume battery)... me, for example, when I take a shower, I listen to music on my mobile, like any Romanian. and to make it louder, bring the speaker closer to a corner consisting of 2 walls + the floor, the result being the desired one, obviously: volume

  2. 😀 hmmm I also watched the video (to look for inspiration for the new title :D) and that guy starts TV streaming. I admit my mistake. Your title is OK
