The new gaming device from Sony is slowly getting closer to its official launch, but before it gets there those from Engadget they obtained a video clip in which the terminal runs a graphical benchmark. Quallcomm Neocore is the benchmark used in this video and as you can see the Sony Playstation Phone doesn't do too well getting an average of around 24fps. The Google Nexus S managed to get around 55 fps in the same benchmark, so more than double, but if you look carefully you will notice that the graphics are rudimentary enough that even the Sony Playstation Phone should have had at least the same results good considering that it is oriented towards gaming.

If this is how Sony understands to compete with a device like iPhone 4 or iPod Touch 4G, then maybe it deserves its position on the market at the moment and maybe it should focus on the development of devices made especially for gaming, i.e. PSPs. Unfortunately, Apple must always be kept "in the loop" otherwise the following products will not be as "revolutionary".
