Jony Ive and Angela Ahrendts collaborate to change the design of Apple Stores

Apple Store redesign

Jony Ive si Angela Ahrendts are two of the most important senior vice-presidents of the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, they lead the design and retail divisions, a close collaboration being now necessary for the successful launch of Apple Watch. According to him Jony Ive, he and Ahrendts are currently working on changing the design of Apple Stores to more easily highlight the Apple Watch after the official launch. The change envisages the creation of a special area in Apple Stores where the watches will be presented, more precisely VIP areas where all models, including the gold ones, will be exposed.

The idea behind the change is to create a certain atmosphere specific to a store that sells luxury watches, and Apple Stores are currently designed for something completely different. In this idea, Ive and Ahrendts must think of an efficient rearrangement of the furniture in the stores to find a suitable place for the Apple Watch that will highlight it in front of consumers. Ive also discussed the installation of a carpet in Apple Stores for demanding customers, so we might have a big surprise when the future smartwatch is available in stores.

The Apple Watch will have a starting price of $350 in the US, but the gold version could cost several thousand dollars, so Apple has to promote it effectively to people who have enough money to buy it. In this idea, Apple hired a multitude of experts in the sale of luxury products, including Angela Ahrendts, the senior vice president of the retail division, she previously led the famous Burberry store chain. How big the change will be in the Apple Stores for the Apple Watch remains to be seen, but it is clear that Apple intends to create a unique "show" for the launch of the product.
