How much does 1 minute of 4K video with iPhone 6S take up?

shooting space 4K iPhone 6SiPhone 6S films 4K with its new 12 megapixel camera and some of you are probably already starting to wonder how much space takes up 1 minute of video recording at such a high resolution, and you can see the answer in the attached image.

1 minute of 4K footage with iPhone 6S or iPhone 6S Plus will take up 375MB of space from the terminals, so a 10-minute movie at 4K resolution recorded with the new terminals will occupy no less than 3.75GB of storage space.

If a 1080p recording made with iPhone 6S or 6S iPhone Plus at 30FPS it takes up 130MB of space, a 4K takes up almost three times more space due to the much higher resolution, the number of frames per second of recording remaining unchanged.

Now, in the situation where 10 minutes of 4K footage takes up 3.75 GB and an iPhone 6S 16 GB comes from the factory with about 12 GB free, then assuming you have an empty terminal, you will be able to record about 30 minutes of 4K footage with it.

If you have other applications or photos in the terminal, then a 4K recording will be difficult to make for a long period of time and you will have to stick to the standard 1080p recordings that the terminals can make, or you can buy a model with more space of storage.

Even if that figure of 375 MB for each minute of 4K footage is only an estimate made by the Apple company, the chances that in reality the figure is lower or higher are quite high.
