iOS 10 vs iOS 9 vs iOS 8 vs iOS 7 vs iOS 6 – performance test

iOS 10 is compared in performance with iOS 9, iOS 8, iOS 7 and iOS 6 running on iPhone 5, the results being really surprising.

iOS 10, iOS 9, iOS 8, iOS 7 and iOS 6 appear today in an extremely interesting test that aims to compare their performance on the iPhone 5. We are talking about a 5-year-old smartphone that was one of the best of the Apple company, and the test should show us how much iOS has evolved, but also how its performance has changed.

Of course, iPhone 5 with iOS 6 will be faster than any other version released after it, but the differences between iOS 10 and iOS 9 are not as big as many would expect. In a terminal startup test, iOS 6 wins without a right to call, and each operating system starts in the order in which it was launched on the market by Apple.

Apart from this rather large difference between the various versions of the operating system, iOS 10 does better than its predecessors in some tasks. When it comes to closing apps, opening the Camera app, or using Siri, iOS 10 does better than any other version of the iOS operating system.

In the rest of the tasks performed on the various versions of iOS, you can notice that iOS 10 works harder than the rest, but the differences are not very big. From my point of view, Apple managed to show us that iOS 10 can also work well on old terminals, despite the fact that in the past things were different with each update.
