iOS 11 – the Files application for iPhone will be launched

iOS 11 has unveiled the Files application for iPhone and iPad, which will probably offer new functions for managing files.

iOS 11 there is going to be a Files application available for iPhone and iPad, it will appear in the AppStore application store during this night, without details about its new features. You can see in the image below the entry made by Apple for the Files application in the AppStore before the presentation of iOS 11, details about its functions not being disclosed.

If I were to speculate, I would say that iOS 11 could allow us to view some files saved on the iPhone or iPad, but not in the same way as in the case of Android. Apple already allows us to see some of the files saved in iCloud through a dedicated application, but the Files application for iOS 11 will have a different functionality, perhaps even related to the iCloud platform.

iPhone and iPad users have been asking for years for an application that allows access to system files, and Files for iOS 11 could offer this functionality. Of course, it is hard to believe that Apple will compromise the security of the iOS operating system with an application of this kind, but Apple has surprised us with many things in the past, so Files could be something good for us.

The Bundle ID of the Files app is Documents.App, it being compatible only with iOS 11 and 64-bit processors, so from here you understand what you want. I would say that Apple will allow us to view some files from the iPhone or iPad running iOS 11, but exactly what we will be able to see remains to be seen depending on what the Apple company thought.
