Planet Mercury: AMAZING AUDIO Recording with Earth

The planet Mercury has a unique audio recording published by ESA, from which we can finally listen to what is heard outside the Earth and in the universe.

Planet Mercury it is going to be explored very soon by a spaceship named BepiColombo, it being sent by the European space agency, ESA, together with the Japanese one, JAXA. The spacecraft began its journey to the planet Mercury many months ago, it was initially sent to the opposite side to gather speed in a detour near the Moon, and in April it passed by the Earth on its way to its final destination in 2025.

Planet Mercury it will be flown by this ship that will enter its orbit in 2025, but until then we have an amazing recording published by ESA after the BepiColombo ship passed by the Earth. In the video clip above you can hear exactly what the ship recorded when it passed by our planet on its journey to the planet Mercury, and for many this was a first, because it's not that often you get to listen to what it is heard in the universe.

Planet Mercury: AMAZING AUDIO Recording with Earth

Planet Mercury is the final possession of the ship, but when it passed 256.000 km - 130.000 km from Earth, it made this recording, that is, around April 9. ESA summarized 8 hours of audio recording in an audio file of only one minute, the sounds being picked up by a series of special instruments installed on the ship that is going to reach the planet Mercury in a few years, and most likely we will listen including what what is heard there.

"A sonification of data recorded by the Italian Spring Accelerometer (ISA) aboard the BepiColombo spacecraft as it approached Earth prior to the April 2020 flyby. The data in the recording was obtained on April 9, when the spacecraft were they approached the planet from a distance of 256 km to 393 km. Eight hours of measurement are condensed into one minute of audio. The original frequency of the data set, inaudible to humans, had to be enhanced by the team at the Italian National Institute of Astrophysics (INAF) to create the audio track.”

Planet Mercury it has not been seriously explored by any spacecraft for a very long time, so the ESA and JAXA initiative is a very important one for all of humanity. The planet Mercury is not the only target of the two space agencies, and this is because including Venus will be visited by the spacecraft before the year 2025, and from there we also expect other important information regarding the cosmic body so far from Earth.

Planet Mercury has recently become a source of interest for space agencies, this after Mars is analyzed from all sides, and Venus already has a mission programmed by those from NASA with the Parker probe.
