Valeriu Gheorghita says that the eligibility for dose 3 of the vaccine against the Coronavirus will cover almost all people who are part of risk groups, which means that many people who benefited from priority vaccination should have priority here as well.
"Certainly, all people, regardless of the age group they belong to, who are on record with chronic diseases, will theoretically be eligible when and if we decide this, and in terms of age group, here , again, it will be very important to evaluate the scientific data, to see if there is a difference by age group in terms of the decrease in the level of protection, the decrease in the level of neutralizing antibodies.
So that's why I'm telling you that the decision will be scientifically based and we will include those categories that need this reminder the most. We don't want to do the booster just for the sake of doing an extra dose, but really for the benefit of the vaccinated people, as we have made all the decisions up to this point."
