Valeriu Gheorghita: The Alarming Problem Appearing in Full Wave 4

Valeriu Gheorghita brought up an alarming problem that puts Romania at risk in the midst of the 4th wave of coronavirus infections, and unfortunately we are talking about a very serious situation that everyone must be extremely careful about.

Valeriu Gheorghita says that there is a serious risk that the number of cases of Coronavirus will increase exponentially in the next period due to the very high contagiousness of the Delta variant, but he refrains from saying when exactly we will reach 10.000 new daily cases, although it is possible to happen very soon.

"It is obvious that if this exponential growth is maintained, we see that practically in the last two weeks we have a 2,5 times increase in the average number of cases per seven days, that is, at the beginning of September we had an average number of cases per seven days of approximately 1.000, we are in the middle of September and we have an average of cases per seven days of about 2.500.

It is a simple, mathematical calculation that shows us that in the next period we will register an increase in the number of cases. That is precisely why I think that the population must understand that we currently have a high, very high risk of getting infected when we are in crowded areas, with many people and we do not follow the preventive measures.

I think we don't really have to come up with messages that induce panic or scare people, after all we have to understand that the evolution of the pandemic and the epidemiological situation is up to us and up to our behavior. If we want to change this situation, from which we will all benefit, we have to get actively involved, that is, to respect the preventive measures, to try to enforce the observance of the preventive measures around us, even at the workplace, and to understand that only in this way - by vaccination and by observing preventive measures - can we keep the situation under control.

We don't do these things, surely the situation will not be kept under control, because the virus goes about its business and does what we have learned so far, it has adapted and is easily transmitted from one person to another."
