Tutorial: How to enable/disable custom animated boot logo on iDevices

greenpois0n RC5 for Windows/Mac OS X already includes a custom animated boot logo for our devices so you don't need to activate anything, but this tutorial will allow you to modify that animation if you want, or disable it. The process is extremely simple, but it works NO MORE on iOS 4.2.1 jailbroken with greenpois0n. Tutorial for untethered jailbreak on iOS 4.2.1 with greenpois0n can be found here: Mac OS X, Windows.

Step 1

Download a file called Animate de here.

Step 2

Connect the phone to the PC and access the system files using ifunbox/WinSCP, or any other program then navigate to / usr / bin /.

Step 3

Copy the file Animate downloaded in step 1 and set the permissions for it in 0775. With ifunbox you can't set the permissions but you can use iFile from Cydia or WinSCP to set the permissions.

Now you have the animated boot logo enabled, to disable it simply delete the Animate file from that folder.

Soon an application will be available in Cydia that will do this automatically.
