iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have officially confirmed the battery capacity and processor frequency offered by the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), for the new iPhone models announced the other day. iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be launched by the Apple company on September 22, with pre-orders starting from September 15, and now we know the capacity of the batteries included in the two phones, but also the frequencies of the processors.
iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have been certified by TENAA, the authority for the certification of mobile phones sold in China, so we get the official information from it. The Apple company is obliged to send the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus to TENAA for certification before the sale in China, where all the details of the two products must be provided, exactly as is the case with similar authorities in Europe and the USA.
The iPhone 8 has a battery with a capacity of 1821 mAh according to an image recorded on the TENAA website, the battery being smaller than the one implemented in the iPhone 7. More precisely, the iPhone 8 battery is 139 mAh smaller than the one used in iPhone 7, and this would explain why the autonomy offered by the new phone is lower than that offered by the old model, the difference in autonomy being similar to that in capacity.
iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus – battery capacity and processor frequency
iPhone 8 has confirmed the 2 GB of RAM that Apple offers this year, as well as the frequency of 2.4 GHz for the processor in the A11 Bionic chip. Basically, the iPhone 8 is left this year with less RAM memory than the iPhone 8 Plus, but this was to be expected considering that it does not have a dual camera and the Portrait function, which requires a lot of processing power to be used.
iPhone 8 Plus is certified by TENAA with a battery whose capacity is 2675 mAh, which is 225 mAh less than the one used in iPhone 7 Plus. The iPhone 8 Plus also has lower autonomy than the iPhone 7 Plus for this reason, but in terms of the processor in question, it has the same frequency of 2.4 GHz as the iPhone 8, but 3 GB of RAM are offered by the Apple company.
The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have smaller batteries installed, probably to make room for the coil needed for wireless charging of the new phones. Unfortunately, users will have less battery life in the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus compared to the iPhone 7 series, but these are the sacrifices made to offer new functions without greatly increasing the thickness of the products, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus being 0.2mm thicker than those from the iPhone 7 series.
