Samsung GALAXY S10 – Sales UNDER GALAXY S9 Announced

The Samsung GALAXY S10 has announced sales below those recorded by the GALAXY S9 during the last year, this is how big the difference between the models will be.

Samsung GALAXY S10 expectations

Samsung GALAXY S10 was launched in the first part of this month by the Samsung company, and analysts seem to have quite reserved expectations regarding the sales of the new series in March. Although the Samsung GALAXY S10 has been announced as setting sales records in several countries, it seems that analysts expect that the total figures for March will not be higher than those recorded for the Samsung GALAXY S9 series during the last year.

According to analysts, the Samsung GALAXY S10 phone series would record sales of 10 million units in March, just like the GALAXY S9 series after its launch last year. The big difference is that the Samsung GALAXY S10 has 8 more days of availability compared to the previous series, and if the estimate turns out to be true, then the sales of this series will be lower than those recorded for the series launched last year by the Koreans.

Samsung GALAXY S10 – Sales UNDER GALAXY S9 Announced

It should also be taken into account that the Samsung GALAXY S10 series is composed of three phone models, while last year the GALAXY S9 series had only two, so theoretically it should sell well over 10 million units. For the second fiscal quarter of 2019, sales of another 10 million units for the Samsung GALAXY S10 series are expected, i.e. over the 9.2 million units of the GALAXY S9 series in Q2 2018.

Samsung Electronics is expected to ship out a total of 20 million Galaxy S10 series phones within the first half of this year. The 10th-anniversary Galaxy S10 phones, which went on sale throughout the world Friday, are expected to achieve sales targets of 10 million for the first quarter and another 10 million for the April-June period. Shipments of Galaxy S9 phones stood at 19.2 million for the first half of 2018 and 35 million for the whole year.

The difference is quite small and it shows that the analysts do not have much confidence in the new series of phones, even though it was received very well, and brings a lot of important news for customers. It is possible that in the end this will not matter, and the Samsung GALAXY S10 series will not register those very high sales that were announced by some, and are expected by others, this could be a huge problem for those in South Korea .

The Samsung GALAXY S10 should be one of the best-selling smartphone models until the Huawei P30 Pro is released, and since then its sales will probably halve.
