RO-ALERT. The important announcement expected by many Romanians was made by the Romanian authorities today, here is what they had to say now.

RO-ALERT IMPORTANT Announcement Expected by MANY Romanians

E-ALERT. A very important announcement was made today by the Romanian authorities for all citizens who received and can receive messages through the emergency alert system. More precisely, today the authorities announced that they sent the last message for the test round of RO-ALERT, which started on July 17, so you can breathe a sigh of relief, because you will not receive any more messages unless there is a serious problem.

RO-ALERT. Many people complained about receiving messages from the system, many of them receiving them for the first time, so they quickly sought to deactivate them, although the authorities do not recommend this. All the messages sent during this period through RO-ALERT had various typos, all designed so that the authorities could figure out which servers the messages came from, and if they reached the right place.

RO-ALERT. IMPORTANT Announcement Expected by MANY Romanians

RO-ALERT. The authorities said that only if an error appears after today's tests, they could decide to extend the testing, but they will publicly communicate this to the citizens. It is unlikely that this will happen, especially since a lot of people complained in all the two weeks of testing about the received messages, so it is unlikely that RO-ALERT will send anything more, at least now, but in the future anything is possible.

RO-ALERT. Of course, the authorities in Romania do not recommend disabling messages, and I do not recommend you to do it either, because they are very useful and can save your life when it is really in danger. The authorities tested the RO-ALERT system in the fall of last year, and now, and at the moment it works on all mobile operators, on a variety of phones, so everyone should receive the alerts.

Here is what the authorities said today about RO-ALERT.

"Today, July 30, 2019, between 09.00:12.00 and XNUMX:XNUMX, on a national level, through the RO-ALERT System, test messages warning the population will be sent to all mobile phones in the coverage area of the telephone cells. Phones configured to receive RO-ALERT messages will receive the following message: "TEST! This is a message for testing the RO-ALERT system. The application of self-protection measures is not required".

This is the last check in the series of tests assigned to the RO-ALERT System, tests that took place starting on July 17. Only in the case of persistent errors, the period could be extended, and the interval allocated to the verification of the RO-ALERT System will be publicly communicated.

Deactivating the option to receive messages on mobile terminals is not recommended, considering the effects that can be generated on the lives of communities in the event of real emergency situations.

At the same time, we ask you not to call the single emergency number 112 to report possible deficiencies of the RO-ALERT System.

The Department for Emergency Situations and the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations assure you that these tests are intended to identify possible system errors that cannot be fixed during a real emergency.

We are aware of the discomfort created and apologize for any inconvenience, but running these tests is mandatory considering the purpose for which the RO-ALERT Warning System was designed!

We assure the citizens that all reported issues will be analyzed by the specialists involved in this whole process, and that the dysfunctions will be fixed in the shortest possible time!

The information regarding the configuration of the phones, depending on the model and the mobile phone operator, is made available to the public on the www.ro-alert.ro portal and on the websites of public mobile communication network operators."
