Valeriu Gheorghita spoke for the first time about the decrease in the number of vaccinations in Romania in the last week, reaching a figure that was halved yesterday compared to those registered during the previous weeks, which caused concern.
Valeriu Gheorghita says that now the vaccination campaign has entered a new stage, the one in which those who really wanted to were vaccinated, and there remained, mainly, those who do not want to be vaccinated, those who were undecided about immunization, or people who do not have easy access to vaccination.
"I don't think it's an inhibition of appetite, as far as we know, it was estimated from the beginning that about a third of people were determined to get vaccinated, a third are hesitant and a third don't want to, I think we are now reaching the hesitant population segment.
