Valeriu Gheorghita: New Measures for Wave 4 in Romania as well

Valeriu Gheorghita is making an announcement today that should put many Romanians on guard, and this is because it is about new measures regarding the 4th wave of the Coronavirus pandemic that are being discussed by the authorities in Romania.

Valeriu Gheorghita talks about the fact that there are scenarios under discussion among the authorities for the eventuality that it will be necessary to restrict the spread of the virus throughout the country, but vaccination can greatly reduce the expansion of wave 4.

"There are working scenarios, depending on the dominance of one viral strain or another, depending on the implementation of other measures that can limit the circulation of the number of cases, also depending on the degree to which the population respects and adheres to these measures , of the vaccination rate.

But the pessimistic scenarios basically show a possible increase in the number of cases in September, where we will have a more pronounced increase, even with increases of over 1.500-1.600 cases recorded daily in the second part of September. Incidentally, I also looked at the ECDC reporting and the estimates that ECDC makes including,

European Center for Disease Control, including for Romania. If now we are at 9,3 cases per hundred thousand inhabitants cumulatively every 14 days, in the next two weeks the tendency is to double the rate of notification of cases, i.e. we will reach almost 18 cases every two weeks per hundred thousand residents."
