Coronavirus: Attention Doctors for All Romanians

Coronavirus Warning of Doctors for All Romanians

The Coronavirus pandemic continues during this period, and things are getting worse throughout the country, so doctors continue to issue warnings for all Romanians who, unfortunately, have not been vaccinated until now and are vulnerable.

""The last guard against COVID, 23 presentations:

20 unvaccinated patients and 3 vaccinated patients.
Of the vaccinated patients, none have pneumonia, no need for oxygen, but only an acute upper respiratory tract infection, which can be treated without problems at home.
Among the unvaccinated, I met two categories: on the one hand, respiratory insufficiency, with decompensated comorbidities, and on the other hand, young people without other diseases and presenting at least with pneumonia (if not respiratory insufficiency) and requiring hospitalization.
It has become a standard question in the anamnesis whether the patient is vaccinated or not, and upon hearing the answer « no », I cannot help but ask « why? ».
In addition to the advice received from various "doctors" against the vaccine, most fear the long-term problems of the vaccine. But no one in this category of patients thinks about the long-term impact of the disease, the long-COVID syndrome, the morbidity given by the disease, despite their young age.
I find it amazing that people are still more afraid of the vaccine than the disease, and some of the patients remain reluctant to the vaccine even when they get on oxygen. If a vaccine against a tropical disease was required for an exotic trip, they certainly didn't worry so much about the remote consequences.
Finally, the day after the shift, together with my supervisor, I go to visit the intensive care unit where a patient who requires a flow of 75 L O2/min desperately asks us what we can do in her situation... If she can be vaccinated to get heal.
Well, the vaccine was the solution to not ending up in intensive care, and for that matter, the only real solution to avoid all these dramas that we see every day."
