Valeriu Gheorghita: The Serious Danger of Romania in the 4th Wave

Valeriu Gheorghita spoke about an extremely serious danger for Romania in the midst of the 4th wave of coronavirus infections, and this is because, unfortunately, there is still a great reluctance regarding vaccination, but also many new daily cases generated by the Delta variant.

Valeriu Gheorghita spoke the other day about the situation in the country, which meanwhile has worsened, saying that in mid-October we could reach 20.000 new daily cases of infection, something perfectly plausible since at the moment we have already reached 7000 cases per day.

"We are on an exponential growth, over 700 patients at ATI, 60 deaths reported daily. We cannot neglect the implementation of some measures because they are unpopular or because they seem discriminatory. They are not discriminatory measures, they are measures that allow those who want to be vaccinated to continue their social life, in a certain interval in which the epidemiological situation is not good. It is applied in localities where the infection rate is over 3 per thousand.

We expect to reach a 1-day average of nearly 7 cases on October 7.000st, but with peaks of 10.000 per day, and on October 15th we could exceed 17.000 per day, the 7-day average, which means an obviously much worse situation – peaks of 20.000 cases. These are the predictions. declared Valeriu Gheorghita in the above interview on a Romanian TV station."
