DeLe delays the sending of SMS/iMessage messages and more

DeLeDeLe delays the sending of SMS or iMessage messages written in the Messages application of our terminals, but the functionality should go much further than that to give us a very good user experience for our devices. The developer DeLe describes the tweak as ideal for avoiding unwanted situations in which we send messages that we regret, so he designed a tweak that saves us from such problems with a series of very interesting and welcome functions at the same time.

More precisely, using DeLe we can: set a delay period of 1-10 seconds before being able to send a message, the option to send the messages as soon as we want, the option to completely delete the messages before sending, the option to quickly copy texts from messages before deletion, the option to edit messages with sending blocking and the option to completely hide the keyboard from the Messages application screen.

  • Send Delay: Set a custom 1-10 second(s) delay to give you a chance to undo tapping that Send button and edit your message.
  • Message Tools popup: As you type an unobtrusive little popup menu resembling Apple's stock text editing menu appears right above your send button.
  • [Airplane Icon]: Quickly send your message confirming delivery without using the preset delay.
  • [Trashcan Icon]: Catch your message before it is sent and erase it completely before the delay timer runs out.
  • [Clipboard Icon]: Quickly copy whatever is composed in the text box to your clipboard to paste and edit elsewhere without highlighting and selecting all.
  • [Scissors Icon]: Quickly cut and save whatever you've typed to your clipboard. The text box will then be cleared and your SMS will no longer be sent. Great way to stop a message in its tracks to review later.
  • [Keyboard Icon]: On first tap the keyboard will be lowered to give your conversation view more real estate. Tap a second time and the keyboard will be removed completely allowing you to read your conversation in full screen.

DeLe is available for download for $1.5 from Cydia's BigBoss repo.
