Apple Card comes with a WEIRD Prohibition for Customers

Apple Card is the first bank card that the Apple company offers for customers who use iDevices, and the terms and conditions of use were published yesterday. Among the terms of use of the Apple Card is one that prohibits users from using it on jailbroken iDevices.

Apple Card cannot be used on iDevices that have been jailbroken, or at least that's what the user regulations say, and it is possible to implement measures to detect this. It is possible for Apple to automatically detect whether or not a user has a jailbreak in their own terminal, and when it has detected this, block access to the use of the card.

“If you make unauthorized changes to your Eligible Device, such as disabling hardware or software controls (for example, through a process sometimes referred to as "jailbreaking"), your Eligible Device may no longer be eligible to access you or to administer your account. You acknowledge that the use of an eligible device modified in connection with your account is expressly prohibited, constitutes a violation of this agreement, and may result in the denial or limitation of your access to or termination of your account, as well as any other remedies available to us this agreement."

Many banking applications have implemented techniques to detect if an iPhone has been jailbroken or not, but Apple has long passed this phase. It is possible, however, that the mention is made so that users cannot complain if they jailbreak and have their money stolen, which is very possible, some tweaks and Cydia applications, or other sources, being capable of such a thing.
