F0recast available! Find out if you can decode/jailbreak your iPhone!

F0recast was launched this evening by iH8sn0w, the developer of the sn0wbreeze application, and it is the first application that tells you if your phone can be jailbroken or decoded using the currently existing software.

The program is only 74 KB, it works with any device and the voucher tells users with the old bootrom if their phone is compatible with fuzzy band to downgrade to baseband.

The use is very simple, simply connect the phone to PC, open the program and the details of the phone will be displayed, then you will be told if it can be decoded/jailbroken and which software you can choose for decoding.

F0recast only works on Windows and from what he says iH8sn0w there will not be a version for Mac, you can download it F0recast here: [download id=”27″]

Considering that some of you do not know what the terms from F0recast I will make a short presentation here.

baseband : is the phone software that takes care of the GSM chip, you can find the baseband version in: Settings>General>About>modem firmware. baseband 05.12.01 NU can be decoded.

bootloader : is a component of IPhone whose software version only interests the owners of iPhone 3G and only if it is 5.08 because they can downgrade the baseband using fuzzy band.

Model : the model of the phone, the application generally takes the model to figure out if you can jailbreak. Unfortunately the application IT IS NOT 100% ACCURATE when it comes to jailbreak. He tells me that it is possible to have a phone with a new bootrom, although it is not so.

unlockable? : whether or not you can do decoding and what program you can use for it

tethered : if your phone can be partially or totally jailbroken, tethered jailbreak, you have the explanation here.

That's it, I hope it helps you.
